This full colour 2011 wall calendar is a one-of-a-kind educational tool, featuring gorgeous photos of local natural areas such as the Tsolum River, Puntledge River, Brooklyn Creek, Morrison Creek, the Courtenay, Millard-Piercy and Oyster River estuaries, as well as local wildlife and more.
The calendars offer a wealth of info on local conservation activities, groups and priority ecological areas and will make great Christmas gifts. Each month features info about a different local environmental group or conservation topic such as wetlands, riparian areas, invasive species or biodiversity corridors.
The calendars are also a fundraiser for environmental groups affiliated with the CVCS Community Partnership, a coalition of local environmental and residents’ associations who support the Conservation Strategy.
The calendars will be available for sale at Seeds in Cumberland, Blue Heron Books and Videos ‘N More in Comox and at the Laughing Oyster Bookstore, ZenZero, Zocalo Cafe, Freakin’ Coffee Shop, Broken Spoke Coffee/Bike Shop, Edible Island, River Meadows Nursery, Art Knapp Plantland, branches of the Royal Bank and at the Conservation Centre office at 2356a Rosewall Cres (in Tin Town) in Courtenay.
