I am constantly amazed at the diversity within our little area.  While out walking my dogs we spotted two sets of woodpeckers, the Pileated and the Hairy, busily hunting for insects in the trees above Morrison Creek.  I wouldn’t have thought there would be much for them in January but obviously they thought differently.  We also spotted some Flickers before reaching the Puntledge Park area but they wouldn’t stay still long enough for me to photograph them.
