Red-tailed Hawk

Red-tailed Hawk

This is a fairly large, broad-winged hawk that is fairly common across North America.  And, yes, their tail is red, on the top side so they need to be turned right to see it distinctly.  The juveniles have more white which makes them a little confusing to identify.
