Most of us recognize the distinctive white head and tail on a dark body of the adult Bald Eagle. The second picture is of an immature Bald Eagle that will take around 5 years to molt into the recognizable form. As they are maturing, the juvenile bald eagles show varying degrees of white in their dark feathering.
