The Morrison Creek Watershed supports a reasonable population of blue-listed Northern Red-legged Frogs.  The species has seen concerning declines lately which is probably due to habitat reduction, American Bullfrog predation, and other negative impacts.  As well, amphibians worldwide were severely impacted by fungal infections and they are fairly sensitive to environmental problems so act as something of an indicator of pollutants and unhealthy ecosystems.
